Hi

How do you get the meta title to default to “page title – website title” by default?

I have it happening on one of my sites but not on 3 others, I can’t find an option anywhere, and they are all setup the same.

The one that is working is the main site of a multisite setup but the sub-sites don’t do it and my seperate site doesn’t do it either.

Hi,

I think this is the default behaviour of WordPress/WP Meta SEO. If it happens to be different on one website it maybe your theme that adds some SEO “optimization” automatically.

Could you check that?

Though I see that it’s properly “page title – website title” on some pages like that: https://www.wrideprints.co.uk/about-wride-prints/

The pages on wrideprints site have all been typed in manually.

How do i check the theme adds some SEO “optimization” automatically?

Not sure how this would happen as my multisite has the same theme for all sites, but only the main site is defaulting to the “page title – website title”

About the theme maybe you can check if there’s something related to that in the configuration?
