Metadata gets removed for thumbnails

    Hi there!

    I have set the plugin to keep EXIF data (and thus also other metadata as well). This works fine for the regular optimized image. However, EXIF data are removed from optimized thumbnails.

    I checked it with the upload on the website and there no such problem exists.

    This is crucial since the metadata could contain copyright data that must not be removed – also not on thumbnails.

    A fast fix for this problem is highly appreciated. 🙏🏻

    Thanks so much for bringing this issue to our attention!

    I’ve opened up an issue for this on our GitHub page so our developers can work on a solution. Unfortunately, there’s no way for me to know when exactly this might be resolved, as it will need to come in the form of a plugin update.
