Yes – the MH Slider is based on categories or tags.
In the premium version you can also display random or popular posts, switch to a larger slider, change the layout of the slider and display an excerpt.

I’m sorry… I may not have been clear.
Can I use the MH Slider to display certain categories? For instance, If I have a total of 6 categories but only want the slider to show 3, how can I best do this?
Also, how can I set the slide-by order?

You can either show one specific category or all categories. If you show all catagories, you can do finetuning by tags.

Yes. Let’s say I have the categories names “News”, “Opinion”, “Sports” and “Entertainment”. I would like for “News” to appear in the first position, “Opinion” in the second, etc.
Can this be done? Either in the Lite or Premium versions?
Thank you again for such quick responses. I’m playing around with the theme as a friend of mine will be putting up a new site soon based on WP and we thin MH Magazine is the best option.
As I said before, you can either set one category for the slider or all categories. If you show all categories, the posts will appear in the order of the condition you have set: date for the lite version and date, random or popularity (based on comments) for the premium version.
If you filter posts by date for example and want to have it like you said, you would have to modify the date of the posts so that they show after each other in the order like you want to.
