• I’m currently using PowerPress but would like to try SSP. Our podcast has many episodes driven by our own customized mysql rss feed. Additionally, it also has a number of manually entered audio programs/posts in a separate category.

When I disabled PowerPress, I lost the player on all our audio posts. When I installed SSP, it did not replace the missing player. That’s when I discovered that PP and SSP approach podcast posts and media urls differently.

Our previous podcasts and manually-added audio posts no longer showed up on our website in their respected pages. Nor did the associated media URLs show up in the post settings area. Although, they’re not accessible through the website menus anymore, I can access the single posts by directly entering their urls in our browser – but there is no player.

I don’t have a lot of time to give to this test. But before I abandon my attempt to try SSP I thought I’d check to see if you have an easy solution or migration tool/strategy to make the transition seriously simple. :o) for all of our audio posts, whether rss-driven or were manually entered.

In the meantime, I’ve reverted back to PowerPress.

    Thanks for your help.
