I have never used Nucleus CMS myself, but this might help: https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Importing_Content#Nucleus_CMS
Hi James,
Thanks for the reply. I have went through the pages. Some methods of migration are for much older versions and don’t work anymore.
I liked the Ultimate Method which claims to keep the same URL scheme. But unfortunately it requires fancy URL scheme that I don’t have.
Its sad if there is no way to migrate. Nucleus CMS users are looking for ways to migrate to other blog platforms. It seems we are stuck.
Have you checked with the Nucleus CMS community? I’m sure they’re working on ways to migrate to other platforms.
Yes I have. Nobody has a clue about migrating to WordPress. Which is why I came here.
Thanks for the links. The RSS Feed option may work. I will try that out. Meanwhile I wanted to know whether there is any way for me to keep the same url scheme as Nucleus CMS?
The current url scheme is http://www.easydestination.net/blog/index.php?itemid=2998
I am thinking of installing WordPress in “blogs” directory and rest of the url to remain the same. Is that possible?
Out of the box, WordPress doesn’t provide that URL structure.
I suppose it’s possible to keep the same URL structure, but it would involve some complex .htaccess wizardry, which is outside my .htaccess skill set.
It may be more beneficial to have Google just re-index everything since the page structure will change anyway.
Also, yes, you can install WordPress in any directory.
