    The Joomla site I am moving to WordPress is http://solutionsskincarecenter.com/

    I am using the same url to install WordPress on. I want to export the posts from Joomla and then use this plugin to bring them into WordPress after I delete Joomla from the domain. Is this what this plugin can do??? Or is it only for taking from one domain and then migrating to a new one??? I only need the content, not the design at all. I want the URL’s to stay in tact.

    Can you please assure me I am able to do this with this plugin?
    And would I need Premium? It is Joomla 2.5 going to the newest WordPress.

    I am also assuming there are some really good directions on exporting the Joomla Content (pages and posts) so I can then convert using the plugin. There are no comments on the site and no need for view Counts etc.

    The plugin will import the categories, the articles and the images from a Joomla site to a WordPress site, whatever the domain name is. But if you want to move the images, the Joomla site must be live during the migration. The method is to create a WordPress site on another domain or subdirectory of the Joomla site and run the import. And when your WordPress site is finished (with the theme and the plugins you want), you can remove the Joomla files and move the WordPress site to the Joomla URL.
    Depending on the SEF plugin you use on Joomla, the URLs may be different between Joomla and WordPress. The premium version of FG Joomla to WordPress redirects the urls from the Joomla articles to the WordPress articles, but it doesn’t keep the urls.

    The add-on sh404sef for FG Joomla to WordPress is released. It imports and redirects (or keeps) the URLs from sh404sef.
