migration from Disqus

Hi
I couldn’t find any answer in the old questions:
Are there instructions how to migrate from Disqus to wpDiscuz?
Thanks

The Disqus WordPress plugin includes a sync feature which will sync your comments from Disqus back to your WordPress installation. It can be located on the Advanced Options tab inside the plugin.
Once comments are synched and added in WordPress wpDiscuz will be able to work with them, because wpDiscuz uses default WP comment system.
An extra step is: navigate to Comments > Settings admin page and click on these two buttons:
[Refresh comment optimization]
[Remove vote data]Also check this plugin, it may work too:

PS: You write about the extra step of navigating to the “Comments > Settings admin page”. Is that settings admin page to be found inside the wpDiscuz settings? Because I couldn’t find that in the general WP comments settings when I click ‘Comments’ in my WP backend
PPS: OK, just saw that this is inside the wpDiscuz settings 🙂
That’s in wpDiscuz Settings page:

I synched Disqus so that all comments are in WP, and I also activated wpDiscuz. My questions:
– When I click [Remove vote data], it loads and shortly after I see only a white screen. Is that normal?
– Under ‘Tools’, do I need to do anything with the ‘export’ or ‘import’ options?
So far it seems as if, after activating wpDiscuz and after deactivating Disqus, I am only back to the regular WP commenting system, which wasn’t the intended result, of course. What am I overlooking?
Thanks!

It’s normal, the process is going in DB, just ignore the white screen

No

Navigate to Comments > Forms admin page. Edit the Default Form. set it for all post types and save it. Then delete all caches.

hmm… I’ve done all that, but still only the regular WP comment option.
I may have to add that I am using the Thesis 2 theme and the comments section is being handled in the theme settings. I tried to deactivate it, when I do that the only result is that comments will be disabled altogether. Not sure what’s the issue in my case then… Any experience with the Thesis theme, so you know if this could be the issue here?
Ah, this is a known issue. Please read this support topic:
