• Hello,

I have a very old blog/site made with Drupal.
It still brings some traffic and I would like o make it a bit more modern.

Drupal, in my opinion, is a very difficult platform. Without any doubt I will like to change it to WordPress.

I want to change the entire content: categories, posts, articles, users, passwords, comments, votes, etc … everything.
I have searched for some topic on this issue but come up with some very old ones.

Is there any plugin that can do this automatically?
Or, is there somebody here that can provide me with a quote for this ? My php knowledge is very basic.

    Thanks !

  • There is this plugin that might help:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/cms2cms-automated-drupal-to-wp-migration/

I would not expect you to needed php programming knowledge.
First setup a new WordPress install upon a sub-domain on your hosting, this lets you run both your old drupal site while developing the new site in private.
Choose a theme that suits you, choose one which is responsive so as to facilitate mobile and tablet access in the future.
Now create your categories, copy/paste your content, transfer your images etc. When you are happy, then backup and take down your drupal site, and do the “moving WordPress” to migrate your sub-domain to your primary site, there is a plugin called DUPLICATOR that has a very good reputation with this.
