Migration in a Self-managed Host
-
Hi!
I’m using your plugin to migrate to a WordPress Self-managed hosting, and is perfect for my needs, I hav just one problem: for security reasons, wp-content doesn’t have 777 permissions (or similar one) so your plugin is unable to continue import. It’s possible to you, in a future release, to reduce requirements of plugin?
Thanks a lot, hope this helps someone else,
Dave
PS. My WordPress version: current stable, my plugin version: current stable, new Hosting: 1&1 – WordPress managed Italy

Hi davide,
Thank you for reaching out!
Yes, the new version that we are working on will resolve the permissions issue that you are experiencing, but I am afraid to say that you may have to ensure permissions on wp-content to 777 recursively for now.nooouuuu 🙁 I think is impossible on most of self-managed WordPress hosts,
And what about using of zip // wrappers to read and directly import single files?
I don’t know if it’s possible,Davide
PS. for new version
PPS. thanks for supportI mean.. I can’t 🙁 And I think I can’t on most of the similar services I’m looking at

I am having the same issue. I can’t set to 777 via my server host. Is there a solution for
this?I suggest you to try our old version (https://www.dropbox.com/s/6r8n8b4wvfte32r/all-in-one-wp-migration.2.0.5.zip?dl=0) while we are working on the new version to resolve the issue, GreatGazoo 212!
