    On your instructions:
    https://www.download-monitor.com/extensions/dlm-legacy-importer/

    You say:
“To get started, simply go to Tools > Import and click “Download Monitor Legacy Importer”.”

However I don’t see that listed in the Import section.

My guess is a bug with the versions because I have “WordPress DOwnload Monitor” listed in my plugin directory (which appears to be the old version) but when I try to install the new version, it says its already installed.

So… safe to just delete the old version and install the new one? I really don’t want to lose my 50 downloads as it would be super painful to recreate those.

Before you start, create a backup of your website.

After the backup deactivate the old version, install the latest new version (1.7.2) and activate the Legacy Import extension. The importer should now be there under Tools > Import.

Didn’t work. The importer still isn’t showing up.

    Any suggestions?

Worried that I’m gonna have to scrap using this altogether if I can’t get the data back. (All my download links are gone after installing the new version.)

Your download are not showing up yet because you haven’t ran the importer yet.

Just to be sure, you’ve got the latest version of Download Monitor installed and activated and the DLM Legacy Importer installed and activated as well?

The Legacy Importer never showed up. Could never get it to appear so I eventually gave up on tracking downloads. (Had to manually change all my links as well because at some point in the process all of the entries were lost and there was no way to get all the data back because the importer never appeared as instructed.)
