Hello, we are looking to purchase the premium version of this plugin. I am currently looking to help someone migrate their current Joomla Site over to a WordPress site using the Divi Theme. I have access to the backend log in for the current Joomla site however no access to the hosting / domain. We are wanting to try and migrate the Joomla site over to a separate domain for now and build out + redesign on that domain before migrating it back to the main domain later on once the design is approved. Is it possible to use this plugin in this way where the wordpress installation is on a completely separate domain/hosting server. Our main concern is the current site has great SEO and SERP rankings so we want to ensure these remain unaffected by the migration. Thanks in advance!

    Yes it is possible.

If Joomla and WordPress are not installed on the same host, you can do this:

    • export the Joomla database to a SQL file (with phpMyAdmin for example)
    • import this SQL file on the same database as WordPress
    • run the migration by using WordPress database credentials (host, user, password, database) instead of the Joomla ones in the plugin settings. You can find the WordPress credentials in the wp-config.php file.
