When performing a restore/migration on to a brand new hosting platform, I install the Backup plugin, UPloaded my backup file and run the restore. The process all goes through ok until it gets to 93%, the live action box showing you what it’s doing, says it’s performing “Search and Replace” for a second time. I have left it at this point for over 24hrs, twice now and it never gets further that 93%. The backup file size is 720mb, so not large.

The new host I haven’t yet asigned a domain too. It’s running off a temp domain. I didn’t want to change the DNS pointing to my old site until I had the new site ready on the new host.

    Hi @gpcollett80

We just published new release v1.2.3 which includes fix for this particular issue. It’s usually caused by not enough memory or limited execution time.

New version should be able to bypass both limits.
Also, there is no need for you to make new backup file.

Please, try it out and let me know if it works for you 🙂
    Thank you!

    Hi

Updated plugin, ran restore and it came up with the Success popup. But on refreshing the admin panel I get “There has been a critical error on this website.” and the rest of the page is blank. If I try to go to the domain/webite frontend I get the same.

    Cheers

    Hi @gpcollett80

Could you please share with me URL to your backup file via e-mail?
[ support (at) backupbliss dot com ]

If you can access FTP of your website, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY in your wp-config.php file.

It will show details on what makes the error.
In most cases it’s some plugin that is not compatible with current WordPress version or PHP.

WP Debug should show path to the plugin which causes the issue.

    Thank you!

I Have the same problem with trying to restore and i have the code created BMI-MPHS0MBy-02862

    Hi @joray25

Your issue is not similar to this topic. For future, please create new topic. That will allow you and us to track the replies easier.
Your migration didn’t even start as it failed during file download.

    Solution(s) start:
Make sure our plugin is enabled on both websites at the same time.

Message you received in logs may appear when:
    a) Your backup is broken or incomplete
    b) URL your provided in Super-Quick Migration does not point to backup file
    c) Backup URL is protected by your hosting or some security plugin

Secondly, check if backup you’ve created is visible in our plugin settings – backup(s) list.
That list can display only valid backups and if it’s not there it may mean it’s not restorable.
It can be caused by damaged files included in the backup, commonly from other backup plugins.

In any case, make new backup with these settings applied:
Open first section of the plugin named: “What will be backed up?”
Find subsection named: “Exclude by folder / file name (case-sensitive)”
Here add these three rules, like on image: https://prnt.sc/9oftADPd_Z7e
    – Save first section once you do that

Then follow these steps on the website where you created your backup:
    1. Go to “Other options” section
    2. Change backup method: https://prnt.sc/1s1ofpa
    3. Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
    4. Enable alternate download method: https://prnt.sc/1slr41w
    5. Save “Other options” section
    6. Force stop both processes: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm

Once backup finish, check if it’s visible on backup(s) list and copy backup URL from here.

Go to the website where you want to restore that backup:
    1. Go to “Other options” section
    2. Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
    3. Save “Other options” section
    4. Force stop both processes: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm

Now you can start restoration with Super-Quick Migration module once again.

If that won’t work, please repeat the “force both processes to stop” step.
Once you do that, download your backup and try to upload it manually.

You can upload your backup via FTP, cPanel or our Upload Area.

Let me know if that resolves your issue or if you need more details on it 🙂
    Thank you!
