We have started working to bring the minimum limit for post description feature, since many of the clients are requesting for it. But I am unable to give you any ETA on this. Hopefully it will be integrated soon. You can keep an eye on our changelog to know whether it is integrated or not.

Hi there,
Currently, we don’t have the minimum word limit available with the field, and your mentioned hacks will work for the WordPress core/backend area.
However, you can check out this developer doc to know to trigger the WPUF post form’s error message with your custom codes.
Besides, as @nabidanzum said, we will raise this enhancement request to bring the plugin in the near future. Till then, kindly wait, or you can consult with your site dev to customize it with the above filter hook.
