Minimum Order Amount

Hi,
I have followed the instructions to add a warning message when the minimum required order amount is not satisfied as specified in
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/minimum-order-amount/The warning message is showing correctly on both pages (cart and checkout).
The issue I have is that nothing blocks the user from clicking and proceeding to checkout with paypal (my only available option so far. I’ll add stripe later).
Looking at the php code I can not see anything that disables checkout.
Am I missing something?

You would like to display a min order purchase messages on both the cart and check out pages, have you checked out this plugin that does this? With regard to the snippet you are currently using, it may have been outdated and needs to be updated. The developers will take some time to do this.
