  • Hello @winock!

By default, FluentCRM is optimized for high-volume email sending, which is why it’s configured to send a minimum of 4 emails per second and a maximum rate. This minimum rate is ideal for users who utilize bulk-friendly SMTP services like Amazon SES, Mailgun, or SendGrid — services capable of handling thousands of emails per hour.

However, in your case, since your SMTP provider has a strict sending limit of 250 emails per hour, sending at that limit will exceed it within just a minute. In such cases, you may continue segmenting your list and sending emails in smaller batches—ideally in batches of 250 or fewer, spaced accordingly.

If your SMTP allows only 250 emails per hour and you attempt to send 1,000 emails from FluentCRM, it won’t send the whole batch over 4 hours. FluentCRM will send the emails to your SMTP at the configured speed. Only the first 250 may be delivered, while the rest could be delayed, rejected, or fail entirely, depending on how your SMTP handles throttling.

Alternatively, if you need to send larger campaigns more frequently, consider switching to a high-volume SMTP service.

Let us know if you need help adjusting your sending settings — we’re happy to help!

    Kind Regards,
    Ashik
