Hi – My apologies if this has been dealt with, but I can’t find it here or inthe documentation. I’d like to import galleries and have them mirror the folder structure they are in where they are stored – ie a subfolder becomes a gallery within the folder/gallery above. I would also like to use albums, so for example might have a folder of wedding photos (album), containing folders of individual weddings (galleries?), with those folders themselves being organised in years (galleries again?).

I’d appreciate advice on how best to use galleries and albums in that sort of instance, and whether it is possible to import them without having to (re)organise them once they are within NextGEN.

    Thanks
    Pete

    Hi @petebm,

Unfortunately, NextGen Gallery doesn’t make use of such a folder structure, its albums are simple database side relationships while the galleries are located at the same folder level.

With NextGen, you can only create the galleries from scratch.

    Hi @imagely

Not what I wanted to hear! But thank you anyway for a very clear and prompt response; I’ve at least discovered that I can import multiple folders, at the same time, as galleries, which helps.

    Regards
    Pete
