Hi Petr
Are you using any plugin for duplicating the post? If yes, then which plugin you are using?

Hi Sami,
Yes, I’m.
It’s Duplicate Post 3.2.2 https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/duplicate-post/
But primarily, if I go to update manually the generated permalink on the post, it goes back to automatically generated.
Hope it helps.
Thank you.
Petr, Does it only happens with the duplicated post or for all the post?
Regards,
Sami
Petr, I have installed the Duplicate Post plugin, duplicated the post, and manually changed the permalink and all works fine for me.
If you are trying to use the “Regenerate button” then it may not work until or unless you use %title% instead of %postname%.
Let me know your thoughts.

Only duplicated.
I think, it sort of works as expected, because 1) duplicate post issues a new slug with the name e.g. post-2 . 2) Your plugin just redirects it to wherever i have defined in the settings.
The problem is, because we don’t have access to the slug field, but instead to permalink field on the post, there’s no way to update the slug of the duplicated post and hence set a more meaningful url for the post.
If I understand it correctly…
UPDATE: Just seen your reply. I’ll try. Thank you.
