Typically on the backend there is TablePress admin menu like so: https://cloudup.com/cqq2mJiVhEz with a directly link to it from the plugins: https://cloudup.com/cB-TsbBFdLv however on one of my websites there is no admin menu link nor a link from the plugins: https://cloudup.com/cq9a0WXFJ8c. When I go to /wp-admin/admin.php?page=tablepress directly it gives me an error: Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page. Here is a list of everything I tried so far.

    • Cloned the site to staging and disabled all plugins and activated a default theme
    • Enabled WP Debug, not seeing any errors
    • Not seeing any JS errors
    • Reinstalled plugin v1.7 manually

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Alex,

that shouldn’t be necessary. It would be sufficient to delete the tablepress_user_options entry in the wp_usermeta database table for that user’s ID.

Hi Tobias, sorry for the slow response. Really appreciate your help here, that’s great thank you.

    Tobias,
I am on v. 4.7.4 WP, and am still unable to find the TablePress menu.
I looked for the tablepress options in Options.php but it is not there.
I also do not find TablePress options in the Pages editor

Any suggestions? I am the only user, and it is an administrator role.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

I new to WordPress – helping out a non-profit and I do not see an admin option. Trying to set-up automatic updates and cannot find the admin option to set this up. Running You are using WordPress 3.2.1.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

are you really using WordPress 3.2.1? That is totally outdated.
You should set up a new site with the latest WordPress 4.8.2.

    Regards,
    Tobias

As I said I inherited this and yes that is what I’m trying to do but there is admin function to download the update.

    Hi,

TablePress is not compatible to a WordPress version that old.
You should export your posts/pages/etc. to a XML file in WordPress, set up a new site and then re-import it. Everything else would be very insecure.

When you then have installed the lastest WordPress, you can install TablePress as well.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, I;m not that versed in WordPress. Do you know anyone that can do this for a fee or is there documentation? Don’t want to lose all the content.

    Thanks.
