It’s not strange to me, nor it is the first time I’ve seen that advice after spending 5+ years using the forums.

Thanks Andrew, actually I don’t need the child theme on this website, just I need to learn how can I show author on homepage, I don’t care if updates remove it.

I’m afraid I’m not comfortable with giving bad advice, especially because it will hurt any future readers of this topic. Can you go along with my Child Theme advice and apply it to your own circumstances?

Andrew this is a test website that I try to learn coding.
I want to know what should I add to able to see the author name on homepage. Really simple request my friend 🙂
