    Using NextGen Gallery 2.0.66.27.
My old pages used the shortcodes “[album id=1 template=”compact”]” which still works. To stop using the old shortcodes, I tried using the green button in the editor to add the album and to display it as the compact album but the result was to only show one picture for the album!

I also tried to use the new shortcode “[ngg_images album_ids=’1″, display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_compact_album”]” but I got the error msg “Default Gallery Type Template and If you’re seeing this, it’s because the gallery type you selected has not provided a template of it’s own.”

I also had a page which showed one gallery “[nggallery id=15 ]”. Changing this in the editor only worked if I used the slideshow and not the thumbnail option. I also tried using the [ngg_images gallery_ids=”15″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails”]” which resulted in the same error message. The basic templates are not used and default to the index.php. Did the templates get deleted in the new version?

I also checked the Gallery/settings and it shows the default settings.
