try:
– deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
– MANUALLY updating. Download WordPress again and unzip it. Access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Please read the Manual Update directions first.

Okay deactivating all plugins did nothing.
Next i tried another theme i had in there alone with Twenty seventeen.
blog titles and pictures show up as per design.
With that said what should be the next step i take?

This means there is some problem with your theme.
I recommend reporting at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/theme/escutcheon so the theme’s developers and support community can help you with this.
Yeah there was an update not too long ago with the theme first one in a long time and I think it may have affected it and I may have not noticed thanks for your help
