For the past few days I’ve been testing calendar plugins. One of them is “My Calendar”. After testing each, I deactivated and deleted the plugin. I settled on using “My Calendar”, but now I cannot get it to successfully install again. The “My Calendar” page that it’s supposed to insert is now not created nor added. What might the cause be for it not completely nstalling?

Did you move the original calendar page into the Trash? I could imagine that My Calendar would fail to create the page if it was already present, but not published.

Yes, I did.  Unfortunately, I’ve created, deleted, uninstalled, and reinstalled so many times that I can no longer find it.  There are several versions in the Trash, but none of them is the right one.  Is there a cache I need to clear in order to start over from the very beginning?

    Thanks!

You can just delete all of them and reassign the calendar page in the My Calendar Settings. The general settings allow you to define any page as your primary calendar page.

I finally got it to work by:

    1. Deactivating and deleting the “My Calendar” plugin
    2. Deleting the existing “Calendar” page
    3. Deleting all pages in the “Trash”
    4. Cleaning the database
    5. Emptying the cache
    6. Creating a new “Calendar” page
    7. Installing and activating the “My Calendar” plugin

Note: I couldn’t get it to work without creating a “Calendar” page before installing the “My Calendar” plugin.

    Thanks!
