    Hello,

I am very much sorry for that question.

I’ve installed version 3.2.1 manually. Logining in generates an error:

Warning: require(/home/mathteac/public_html/blog/wp-includes/classes.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mathteac/public_html/blog/wp-settings.php on line 68

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/mathteac/public_html/blog/wp-includes/classes.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/home/ctkorg/public_html/PHP’) in /home/mathteac/public_html/blog/wp-settings.php on line 68

When I comment line 68, the error is different:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_wp_error() in /home/mathteac/public_html/blog/wp-includes/load.php on line 368

I’ve checked your archive. There plenty of discussions on that missing file – none seems to help.

    What do I do now?

    Thank you in advance

  • Try re-uploading all files & folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Do you know where I can get the freshest download? Neither wordpress-3.2.1.zip nor wordpress-3.2.1.tar.gz that are available at the WordPress site (http://ww.wp.xz.cn/download/) contain a classes.php file.

Nor should they. All class files are individual in 3.2.1

    What does that mean?

Does it mean that “a fresh download from WordPress” will not help?

Esmi, thank you for your help. It appears that I missed wp-settings in the root directory among the rest of the loose files. My apologies if I was a little impatient.
