Hi,
1. I can’t find any AddToCart event with content_type missing. Facebook usually shows the URLs where such a problem happens. Please test those URLs for any unusual AddToCart events.
2. You can disable the AddToCart from your Cart and Checkout pages. There is an option for this on our plugin’s WooCommerce tab. Keep just the event on add to cart buttons.
Hello,
I tried to do what you mentioned but had no effect. The catalogue is giving me errors for every single url that I try. You can add to cart any product from my website and it will generate an error in facebook catalogue. Can it be that the pixel fires twice and leads to error? Thanks
You still have the AddToCart event enabled on the Cart and Checkout pages. Open our plugin WooCommerce tab, look for “How to capture Add To Cart action”, disable “On Cart Page” and “On Checkout Page”, and save the new settings.
Delete any cache you might have.
I have reenabled it because I didn’t see any change. Shall I disable it again?
Yes, you really don’t need them.
It’s possible that the double event is called by your cart popup, but I can’t be sure.
Disabled again and tried again. Still the same issue. Every product added to the cart is quickly displayed as an error in Facebook catalogue. Thanks
I can now see the problem when I test it. Actually is present only on simple products, not on variable products. My previous testing was done on variable products.
Do you have any Facebook pixel code added by something else?
Do you have any events configured under our Events tab?
Is the theme updated to its latest version?
When you check WooCommerce system reports, do you see any warnings related to some of the theme templates?
How is cart popup added? Is it a third party plugin, or part of your theme? Can you disable it and check again?
Hello,
The theme is up to date and there is no issue. The pop-up is from the theme and I can only disable it when the product is added from the shop page, not from the product page. Also, I had an error on business catalogue regarding one variable product.
Many thanks
Unfortunately I don’t have a solution.
I suspect that the double event is caused by the way your theme implements the add to cart buttons on simple product pages.
Hello. I will try to contact theme support and also facebook.
Btw, add to wishlist event is not available? Cause I cannot see it.
Contacting your theme support might help, contacting Facebook won’t. There is in fact a double add to cart, so they can’t do anything about it.
We don’t have an add to wishlist event because this action is not supported by WooCommerce’s core. It’s implemented by third party plugins, so we would need to create integrations with each of them.
