I have recently taken over a WP website which has no Plugins nor Settings heading on the dashboard page. Also, there seems to be no way to edit the front page items and the media library does not have any of the front page pictures in it. I am stumped as to how to edit certain items as the post and page headings do not contain any of the front page items.

is your username set up with the administrator role?
do you have access to the database via phpmyadmin?
do you have access to the theme files via FTP?

    Hi contentiskey,

No, the username i have has no profile item regarding administrator – i hadn’t noticed this when i took over the site.

No to the database isssue i do not have access to the account.

    No to the FTP access.

Guess i’m screwed until i can get access to the hosting account.

Thanks for the questions – they point out to me what i need to do now.

if you can get into the database, roles can be changed for current users to give different levels of permissions.

Thank you fro reminding me – yes i do understand how to do that. Unfortunately i do not have access to the database at this time so i am dead in the water on this one.
