• Hi,

I was trying to update WP e-commerce from version 3.8.12.1 to version 3.9.4

    I get the following results:

WP eCommerce 3.9.4 is almost ready. Some database routines need to be run before the upgrade is complete. Click here to start!

    And:

It appears that your WP eCommerce database tables are in need of repair. This is very important for both security and performance. Repair your tables now.
Note: If you encounter errors upon repairing your tables, simply refresh the page.

After doing the database table repair, I get this error message:

Some problems with the database could not be repaired….

    xxxxx_wpsc_cart_item_meta: Table
    ‘domain_dk_db.xxxxx_wpsc_cart_item_meta’ doesn’t exist
    xxxxx_wpsc_purchase_meta: Table
    ‘domain_dk_db.xxxxx_wpsc_purchase_meta’ doesn’t exist
    xxxxx_wpsc_visitors: Table ‘domain_dk_db.xxxxx_wpsc_visitors’ doesn’t
    exist
    xxxxx_wpsc_visitor_meta: Table ‘domain_dk_db.xxxxx_wpsc_visitor_meta’
    doesn’t exist

The shop does no longer function.

Any advice on this is highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi zkagen,

Probably a silly question, but did you try deactivating and reactivating WP eCommerce? If the tables vanished for any reason, that should restore them.

    Hi Justin,

That’s a fine suggestion. I did not. I restored the site with a backup, so I will try your suggestion in the next attempt.

    Hi there!
    I’m experiencing something similar:

    wp_wpsc_cart_item_meta: Table ‘elyriahi_wor1.wp_wpsc_cart_item_meta’ doesn’t exist
    wp_wpsc_purchase_meta: Table ‘elyriahi_wor1.wp_wpsc_purchase_meta’ doesn’t exist
    wp_wpsc_visitors: Table ‘elyriahi_wor1.wp_wpsc_visitors’ doesn’t exist
    wp_wpsc_visitor_meta: Table ‘elyriahi_wor1.wp_wpsc_visitor_meta’ doesn’t exist

I did not build my website but have been able to use the WordPress platform to update and make changes. I tried to look up how to deactivate/active WP eCommerce and can’t find directions.

Can you point me in the right direction or describe the steps to deactivate/active WP eCommerce?

    FYI

I also got the “your WP eCommerce database tables are in need of repair.”.

BUT it went away after I clicked the “WP eCommerce 3.9.4 is almost ready. Some database routines need to be run before the upgrade is complete. Click here to start!”

The DB update must be run first.
