Missing Ecommerce Data due to obsolete tracking method

My site currently uses gtag.js (added manually) for standard tracking and this plugin (latest version: 1.4.15) for eCommerce tracking.
To avoid data conflict, I disabled ‘Enable standard tracking’ and ‘Enable Universal Analytics’ options in the plugin settings.
However, this plugin uses legacy libraries (gaq object from ga.js) for tracking which is why no data is being sent to Google Analytics.
Is there any way I can upgrade or switch it to gtag.js ?

It looks like there is a PR developed for this, but it hasn’t been fully tested yet and as such has not been added to the plugin. I’d recommend following the issue so you can get updates on any movement for this!
