Hello everyone. I need to modify the text of an email sent with one of the coupons at the end of an order, and I can’t find where that text is in the plugin settings, tables (searching with Better Search & Replace), or in the code files.

Inspecting the code of the received email I have seen that there is a div with the id “body_content_inner,” and from what I’ve seen in the code, this refers to the Customer Reviews plugin. However, in this plugin, the three emails are not activated, and everything in the settings is in English (the store and the email I’m trying to edit are in Spanish).

The email is designed with the same header and footer as the rest of the WooCommerce emails in the purchase workflow, which is why I’m also confused about its possible location.

Can someone help me find the text I need to edit?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi @webproyectosmp,

Thank you for reaching out and clarifying the type of assistance you need. It can definitely be confusing when trying to trace the source of an email without success.

Could you provide an example of such an email? You can share a screenshot via snipboard.io. Also, could you confirm which email it is—an automated “order completed” email or one that was sent manually?

Sure! and thanks you Moses for your quick reply.

The automated email includes this text https://snipboard.io/jTCP6F.jpg

The cupon code is defined in Marketing > Coupons.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi @webproyectosmp,

Thank you for sharing the screenshot. The email content doesn’t appear to be a default WooCommerce email.

It seems more like a post-transaction automated email sent to customers after completing a purchase. To better understand your setup, could you please generate your system status report in WooCommerce > Status > Get System Report, copy it for support, and share it via Pastebin?

    Thanks again Moses.

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing the system status report.

I suspect that the following plugin — Opiniones de clientes sobre WooCommerce (by CusRev – version 5.84.0) — is adding that text to your emails.

To confirm, please try deactivating that plugin temporarily and place a test order to see if the text still appears in the email or disappears.

If the text disappears, I’d recommend reaching out to the plugin’s support team for further guidance on how to change that text.

Let us know what you find.

Hello again, I tried deactivating the plugin and placing an order, and as soon as I set the order status to Completed, the email attached to the screenshot is sent.

    Hi there!

Thank you for checking that and sharing the update!

Since the email is still being sent even after deactivating the Opiniones de clientes sobre WooCommerce (CusRev) plugin, it looks like the message might be coming from another source.

First, please go to WooCommerce → Settings → Emails, then edit the Order Confirmation template and check if that text is added there, as shown in this screenshot:

If you don’t find that text in the template, please run a conflict test to identify which plugin is adding it.
To do this, deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce, and switch to the default Storefront theme. Then place a test order to see if the message disappears.

For detailed steps on how to run a conflict test, please see this guide:

You can safely perform this test on a staging site (so your live site isn’t affected).

To deactivate all the plugins, I’ll need to coordinate this with the team.

In the meantime, and in case it helps:
In Settings > Emails, we only have two emails for completed orders. One is deactivated and the other is for manual sending. Neither of them have the texts I’ve shown.

    https://snipboard.io/VDnExQ.jpg

In the store, they have two “Completed” statuses, but from what I see in the html options list, one refers to “wc-completed” and the other to “wc-complete.” Which one would be the native WooCommerce one?

The second one triggers the event responsible for sending the email.

I’m sorry I can’t provide more details, this is a legacy project and I don’t know how it was built.

    Hi again! I found it!!

Following the thread with these two “Completed” statuses, I reviewed the “Custom Order Status” plugin settings and found the entire body of the email laid out in one of the fields.

Sorry for any upset you and thank you very much for your time.
