I have WP6.9.4 as a managed WP at one.com. ActivityPub 8.0.2 and additionally various plugins. SiteHealth wrt ActivityPub resolves fine, webfinger resolves too. https://webfinger.net/lookup/? resource=blogging%40www.o2sn.dk , there’s no longer an issue with author=0. Cron is fine.

yet absolutely nothing in the fediverse. I have a hunch the domain is not federated, as this page breaks: https://mastodon.social/authorize_interaction?uri=@[email protected] while it resolves on other addresses. Seems to be a know issue for defederated instances.

What am I missing to get federated? I had the idea that the activitypub plugin would work as a server without any additional … signup. Am I missing a relay, which to pick?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

gotcha! I was struggling with that, but didn’t see my way through. Even after reading here for similar challenges. Thank you Matthias.

I have now disabled “Disable user enumeration” in the “Really Simple Security” plugin – so that author=0 is possible. And then everything worked.

I am but sure why there are still plugins trying to hide the User-ID. The ID is all over the place and can be found in publicly in every user API endpoint.

I think there are better ways to secure a blog, like two factor authentication for example!
