    I have assigned the FAQ schema to a page and requested indexing in the Search Console, it came back with the following error:

    Missing field ‘mainEntity’

    Items with this issue are invalid. Invalid items are not eligible for Google Search’s rich results

    How do I fix this?

    Hi webrightnow,

    The issue “Missing field ‘mainEntity’” occurs because the FAQ schema requires both questions and answers to be properly defined.

    After selecting the FAQ schema type, these values are not automatically available from standard posts unless we know how the FAQ data is being added. Once you share how you’re currently adding the FAQ content, we can suggest a way to automatically populate these fields.

    Alternatively, you can manually add FAQ data to the schema markup by following this tutorial:
