On my site (www.poppinclouds.com), I have something weird going on with the ‘like’ button.

On a post, I have collected a few “likes.” The number is accurate. The problem is that I know for a fact that at least two of those likes are from friends. However it still says, “Be the first of your friends to like this.” I have confirmed multiple times in multiple browsers (one different computers) that I am logged into my facebook profile.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

It seems like you are unhappy with the rendering of the Like button and its lack of social context; it might not be a problem related to the plugin.

The plugin outputs the Like button and initializes the JavaScript SDK. The plugin initializes the SDK with status option set to true by default, which should add social context based on your logged-in status and the visibility of your friends’ sharing activity.

If you believe there is a bug with the Like button rendering data on the page you can file a bug on the Facebook Developers site: https://developers.facebook.com/bugs?search_view=search&search_ids=246819798681886

Have you seen this before with this plugin? I can see in my friends activity (on FB) that they liked the particular post, but when I go to the page it just says (x people liked this, be the first of your friends….). But I’m NOT the first of my friends to like it 🙂

Like you said, perhaps its just a FB bug. I just was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, or perhaps I have something configured wrong in my FB app or something.

    Thanks
