Recipes do show up in wp’s default site search on my testing system. So it looks like woo commerce is affecting the search.
I’ll try to look into this soon, but can’t promise anything.
I could not reproduce the problem you’ve described. Please provide more information on your setup (like versions, theme, other plugins that might interfere, link, …)
@jdygas is using a custom AJAX search plugin that extends WooCommerce’s product search feature. This “Instasearch for WooCommerce” plugin is only checking for the ‘post’ and ‘product’ post types.
@jdygas please contact the developers of “Instasearch for WooCommerce” to maybe add an option for the post types to search for.
There is nothing we can do to improve your search results from within RecipePress reloaded.

thanks – none of the woo commerce search plug ins will also search posts.
I am also having an issue that when your plug in is active, the screen options dropdown disappears so i cant customize the columnns shown in the back end.
That’s a pretty nasty CSS bug. I will fix this in release 0.9.1 pretty soon.

thanks for the speedy reply! question for you – we are using your notes section to add recommeded products

is there a place in settings where I can change it from notes to recommended products?
