missing galleries

    I was adding a new album and when I saved it my Gallery page now has no galleries associated with it-no albums-no images. All of my images are on my individual pages but no longer in my gallery page. Can I restore to an earlier version? Or, how do I fix this?

    Standard WP galleries and their images are always associated with the post or page they are uploaded to. Not sure what you mean by albums.

    In any case, if you want to show existing images on your site as a gallery, they need to be re uploaded to a post/page where you want the gallery to be, so you’ll have 2 instances of each image. The original and the gallery. As far as I know there’s no way to assign existing uploaded images to a new gallery. Odd as that may seem.

    If you want to show an existing gallery on a different page or post, just use [gallery id="id#"] replace “id#” with the id number of the post or page where the gallery was originally created.

    Thanks for your reply. I clciked on the wrong button on my gallery page-I clicked on e-commerce and things went to hell. I got it fixed. Thanks.
