Missing images

    I have noticed intermittently that when I use the social share button the image is just a placeholder. In twitter I need to actually choose an image from my computer to have it show. This is whether I tweet myself or others retweet.

    I am also finding that sharing to FB the placeholder is the only thing showing. However, when I check my profile the image does show publicly.

    Have you heard of this? Since it isnt constant it is difficult to troubleshoot. I am not sure you will be able to reproduce.

    Also, do I use the plugin open graph settings or stick with Yoast?

    Hey @marilyn1998,

    Thank you for reaching out with this message. If you use Social Pug free, I’d recommend using Yoast’s Open Graph tags and disabling the ones from Social Pug, from Social Pug -> Settings -> Disable Open Graph Meta Tags.

    Also, make sure to complete all Open Graph fields in Yoast. Without the proper data, social platforms will try to grab information from your posts and pages, but they might fail.

    I’d recommend using Facebook’s debugger and Twitter’s card validator to check that all your OG data is there and is usable.
