I couldn’t replicate this issue on my end. Are you sure this is due to the Editroskit plugin? I suggest you test by deactivating all other plugins and maybe by switching to a default theme.
@munirkamal yes, I’m pretty sure this issue is about the plugin. Because of the following
I use EditorsKit plugin for the ability to put a link on the entire block (cover/column), but for my site it causes slowing down Gutenberg Editor up to the when you type and the text appears after some time you already stopped typing. This is really annoying and one time I disabled the plugin for some time.
And after I’ve reenabled it — I got the picture I’ve shown in the screenshots. And with bonus to that — before I disabled the EditorsKit plugin, I had set a hover effect for one block. And now, when the plugin was reenabled, this effect is present, but i can’t control it…
Well, I agree, that it is possible to have conflicts with some other plugins and I will try to search for possible ones, but I use (from time to time EditorsKit) for I think 8-9 months and for my site it has very noticeable particularities unfortunately.
Thanks for providing more details. Could you first test this after deactivating all other plugins to find out if that is due to a plugin conflict? Also, which hover effect exactly are you referring to?
@munirkamal
Well, it looks like missing intervals could be plugin conflict with Spectra. I’ve installed it when EditorsKit had been disabled and got interval problems right after I’ve enabled EditorsKit plugin again. Hope that will help.
But this does affect neither Gutenberg slowdown nor hover effect.
Hover effect that I can’t turn of is like this. I will show in the Gutenberg, but no matter how I turn it on/off or updating the page on the frontend hover effect is in effect permanently

I’ve pushed an update, kindly test with the latest version and also While debugging, I discovered that the problem seems to be related to the “Estimated Reading Time” feature. To fix this, I need to refactor the feature, which will require some time, but not too much. In the meantime, you can disable the feature to see if it resolves the issue. Can you please try this and let me know if it works?
