Hi there @jamestotten,
Thanks for reaching out.
I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with linking your products to your page.
I understand you’ve already checked attributes and variations, and tried duplicating the product without success, and you think that the color attributes could be causing this issue.
As a first step to understand the issue, I recommend the following troubleshooting steps to try and eliminate any plugin/theme conflicts:
- Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Four) and see if the issue persists.
- If the problem continues, try deactivating all plugins except for WooCommerce to see if there’s a conflict. If the issue resolves, reactivate each plugin one by one to identify the culprit.
Let us know how it goes.
Hi I have managed to find that the issue was the colour attribute that I created. I would like to use the system attribute of Colour how do I know the difference between system and User created TIA
Hi @jamestotten,
When working with attributes, you can have two types of attributes:
- Global Attributes: these are attributes that can be used for any product. You can find them in your WP Admin > Products > Attributes. You can use archive pages for those.
- Custom Attributes: those are attributes specific to a single product that you add directly in the product edit page. They are mostly used to set up unique variations, and they don’t include the archive pages like the Global Attributes do.
I recommend always working with global attributes. You can learn more about it here: https://woocommerce.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/#how-to-add-edit-product-attributes.
Cheers!
