Check if your cron job is working properly. You can do it with WP Crontrol plugin.

I did a test message, with notifications set to 5 min.
I checked in WP Crontrol and I see the cron job bp_better_messages_send_notifications’ which ran OK , but I still get no email.
I don’t see it in Sendgrid logs either. Any ideas?
Maybe users disabled email notifications?
Missing or disabled email template for unread messages in BuddyPress Emails?
Something is wrong with my templates , I think.
First of all, I see 1963 templates… many of them duplicates.
I see the template for unread messages, but there is no ‘situation’ attached to it. I don’t see any better messages situations, when I try to edit the template?
Hard to say, maybe try to reset buddypress email templates.
I deactivated and activated the plugin and now it works. I see the email template came back.
A bit embarrasing… but I hereby pass this complicated, high-tech solution on 🙂
