• When posting a WordPress post to our Facebook account using the post method: Upload image to timeline album the post is not published on Facebook.

The logs show the following error:
430659199413/photos/(#324) Missing or invalid image file

Can you explain what is going on and how to fix the issue?

    Thank you.

  • If you are using Upload image to timeline album as posting method, then make sure that you have set a Facebook supported image with the post as a featured image or include an image with the post content.
    *Facebook supported image formats:JPEG,BMP,PNG,GIF,TIFF
*Images cannot exceed 4MB in size.
*When upload PNG file, try to keep file size below 1MB.
WP Facebook Auto Publish fetched image from the featured-image first,if no featured image is set ,then it will fetch image from post content.
    Hope this helps.
Please let us know,if any issues.
    Thank you.

I am indeed using Upload image to timeline album.
The image is the post’s featured image.
I have tried to use the file extension .jpg and jpeg
    The image is roughly 40k.
I am still getting the same error.
430659199413/photos/(#324) Missing or invalid image file

How can I be sure it is providing the proper image url to Facebook? Or please let me know if there is anything else I can check.

    Thank you.

    Hello @gar1,

How can I be sure it is providing the proper image url to Facebook

If you are using images having minimum size: 600 pixels wide, 315 pixels tall and image formats JPEG,BMP,PNG,GIF,TIFF below size 4MB(1MB for png files) then it might be Facebook supported images.
Please try uploading the failed featured images to Facebook post directly and if it successfully uploaded to Facebook post ,then please contact our support desk(https://xyzscripts.com/support/).
    Sorry for the delay.
    Hope this helps.
