Now the update is released.
The 3.3 update appears to have fixed this error, for me at least.
The update has not fixed the issue for me… I am using swift security plugin and this is the error I receive after the update.
Not expected HTTP response:
Status-Code: 500
Date: Tue, 22 Mar 2016 16:52:24 GMT
Server: Apache
Content-length: 289
Connection: close
Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
Content: <html><head><title>Error 500 - Internal Server Error</title><head><body><h1>Error 500 - Internal Server Error</h1><p>An error was encountered while processing your request. Typically this is a temporary condition. Please contact the web site owner for further assistance.</p></body></html>
Version 3.3 fixes the problem on sites I manage as well. In my case, I could run manual backups ONLY if I deactivated Bulletproof Security and reverted to the default .htaccess file.
Manual backups are now running fine again with BPS installed.
Thanks Daniel!
@designxdevelop: did it work without the swift security plugin an its modifications? Please open a new thread with this. It is another problem and i mark this thread as resolved.
I upgraded 3.2.5 to 3.3 using default settings, ran backup job and server self connect test reports error:
Not expected HTTP response:
WP Http Error: connect() timed out!
There doesn’t appear to be any performance issues from my other performance test results that would indicate host issue.
If my other wp-cron jobs are working then why does the server self connect continue to have time out issues?
@bootupword: ask you Hoster if http Loopback connections are allowed.
I have posted question to Hoster regarding allowing loopback connections. They allow it in my other accounts with them. I will let you know as soon as they have responded.
Is there a reason they would not allow http loopback connections?
I only know that there are some that do that.
Im really new in blogging.
I installed wordpress my self with a great tutorial. It’s working very good. I installed action box, and Anti-Spam and anything else.
But Backwpup doesn’t work.
I get:
Not expected HTTP response:
Status-Code: 404

Cache-control: no-cache, must-revalidate, max-age=0
Pragma: no-cache
It’s difficult to me to understand everything you said.
First: I’m not very good in english.
Second: There are things I don’t know (I installed my first blog on ww.wp.xz.cn 3 days ago 🙂 )
Please, tell me what can I do
Did you have setup the complete sever by yourself ?
I don’t know what is to “setup a server”. I’m new on blogging.
– I paid for webempresa hosting.
– I created my domain. http://pensarengrandelat.com
– I downloaded wp from wp.org, and installed with Cpannel.
– I used a extraordinary tutorial for this, and everything works fine.
does that mean that “I setup the server”? Or is it a different thing?
Did you have commandline acsses to the server?
Hi Daniel, after read everything I found. I decided to email my hosting (webempresa) and they removed some kind of security, and now it works 🙂
Thanks SO SO MUCH for answer me.
