Hello nevispix,
I did a quick review and found that some thumbnails that you might be using is not generated.
In your browser console, I am getting below errors.
otter-9-768×509.jpg:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
2otter-10-768×587.jpg:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
Thanks for getting back to me Kartiks16. Have you any idea how I can fix this? I actually have 6 pages affected by this problem, all created this week. Of those six pages, one page is displaying one photo OK. Older pages are fine. Thanks again for your help,
Ian
I think the thumbnails didn’t get generated properly.
I would suggest to re-upload the photos and assign them to areas/section where you see this problem.
Or else you need to place the images manually with the exact name and at an exact path.
Thanks,
Kartik
Thanks for your reply again. I’m not sure I understand what you mean here. I am following the method of uploading images to the media file and then linking to the image from the page as I have done successfully many times before. Older pages are all showing the images previously placed. However, I recently created 6 new pages (see parent page landscapes and legends and five child pages and added two images to each page. Of the 12 images, 1 is showing properly. The others all have a box, are correctly titled and the alt tag is showing. Click on the alt tag and a large version of the image appears as a page of its own and the URL is as in the media file. I’ve tried deactivating all the plugins I have running but no difference.
Something is going wrong with the way that Word Press is handling the images and I need to get to the bottom of that so that I can edit my site quickly and easily as I have in the past. Going beyond clicking on a button is beyond my web skills. Thanks for your help
