    Hi.

We have a a Facebook feed that runs once a day but unfortunately it never includes new products, it only reflects changes to existing products. If we duplicate the feed and run it from scratch it will include all products.

We think the problem is that when we create a product on our shop we usually work it in “Private” and when the editing is finished we set it to “Publish”. We know that “Private” products will be omitted (and that’s good), but it seems that when the product is published the plug-in still assumes its a private product. I haven’t tested this, its only an hypothesis. Could you please help? Thanks

    Hi,

When a product is on “Publish”, regardless if it was Private before or not, it will be added to your feed. Sounds like you might be using a caching plugin or running (object) caching on your website/server? If so, make sure to clear all caching and not to cache the product feed URL’s.

    Hope this helps.

Just a side note, we have excluded the links folder from the cache (plug-in and CloudFlare): /wp-content/uploads/woo-product-feed-pro/xml/*

Sorry, didn’t saw your reply before i posted, i knew the caching would come up, we have excluded from the cache the feed folder but i also cleared all caches just to see if the new products would be on the feed but they were not.
The “Private” to “Public” was just my guess but it may be something else.
If we duplicate the feed the new products always come up.

Just tried to test disabling our cache plug-in (SG Optimizer) and bypassing cache at CloudFlare and then manually refreshing the product feed but it still doesn’t show new products. Could it be anything else? Thanks

If we duplicate the feed the new products always come up.

That does still suggest the feed is being cached. If there would be an issue with the plugin or when it would encounter an error the new feed wouldn’t show the products either. Have you tried making another change to the feed configuration, like adding a field (mapping). Do those changes and up in your feed?

Assuming the issue at hand is sorted and/or our support is no longer required I will close this topic for housekeeping reasons now.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to us again whenever you need our help.
