• Hi, first of all I want to say this plugin looks very promising. I know it’s just starting, so I won’t put a bad review on it, even though I think it’s still missing quite a few things for it to be really production ready on a real blog/magazine.

I feel this is for tech-savvy only, which is great for me, but not so much for actual clients.

These are not complaints, only things I thing this is missing to be even greater.

    1. Text module should have visual editor as well as html, it’s easier for alignments, adding media, etc.
    2. Modules should be minimizable, so we can get a bigger view of all the modules in the page and reorder them easily.
    3. Columns should also be editable with the WP visual text editor. Maybe not as important as for text module
    4. Easier way to add content to the content table, instead of having to manually add a div container with an ID maybe just add an ID option to all modules? And a title to choose what they want to be reflected in the index.
    5. The data modules need an import data option and a way to empty the default data.
    6. Custom Choropeth maps?

Thank you, can’t wait to see what you can make of this plugin in the future. So far so good.

Hi, thanks for the kind words and all the great suggestions. Agree that these make Snowball even more useful.

Things like being able to collapse blocks is pretty straightforward, so you can expect them to land soon in a minor release. Otherwise like a new table of contents setup would require serious reworking so will take longer.

As for #5, you should be able to treat the data input field like a spreadsheet. In other words, you can select a range of cells or the column header, and hit delete to empty the default data. You can also copy & paste data between this and Google Sheets or similar apps.

Also, just curious what other choropleth maps would you find useful?

I’ve opened tickets for your ideas which you can track on GitHub here: https://github.com/thomaspark/snowball/issues

    Thanks again,
    Tom
