Missing requirement

After installing I experienced haning when trying to test the server. I started debugin at the wrong end (unfortunately) figuring the problem was with my solr instance or my firewall. Finally I got around to looking at what was going on using firebug and apache logs, and realized the problem was that the php curl module was not installed. So, I suggest you should list that as a requirement so that others can avoid spending lots of time debuging like I did.
