Hello!

We recently noticed that some of the cron jobs that we created no longer have the “edit” or “delete” options when we hover over them. They are only showing the option to “Run now”. It is not effecting all of the cron jobs, only the ones with PHP code. Also they did have the options to “edit” and “delete” before. So we are not sure what caused them to lose those options or how we can get them back.

This happens when you don’t have permission to create or edit PHP cron events. Did you recently remove the ability for users to edit files on your site? If so this removes the ability to edit PHP cron events too.

Also I appreciate this isn’t very clear, I need to do some work to make it more obvious why you can’t create, edit, or delete PHP cron events in this situation.

Thanks John!

That seemed to be our problem. After editing the “wp-config.php” file and changing the “define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true);” to “define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, false);” we were able to see the edit and delete options again.
