I use MailPoet 3 in conjunction with Registration Magic. A newsletter can be subscribed via the MailPoet extension of Registration Magic. However, MailPoet always displays an error message “Missing value for custom field “Institution”. Whereas in the MailPoet form only the field Email is mandatory and A form with the field “Institution” does not exist at all. I have already deleted and recreated all MailPoet and RM forms. However, the error message remains.

    Hi @mpfischer,

It seems that, at some point, you’ve created this custom field for “Institution” using the MailPoet form editor. So even if the field is not added to the form, you need to delete it.

    Please follow these steps: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/313-how-to-remove-created-custom-fields-from-mailpoet-3

    Thanks!

    Hi Bruna,

This problem caused extreme difficulties for me and the support of various plugins that wanted to access MailPoet. Only by a workaround with the help of invisible “institution” dummy fields it was possible to get it under control. But now this is no longer necessary. Thanks for this solution, now I finally know why the error message did not go away.

    Thanks a lot!
