Please try if the new beta version fixed the bug. There was one problem with empty archives, which could lead to the Missing-XML-Tag error.

I’m suffering from the same issue – “Missing XML Tag” in my sitemaps.
Unfortunately, the 4.0.5Beta2 plugin doesn’t solve it.
I’m running the beta plugin on two sites at the moment, one larg(ish) and one small(ish) – the small site works fine, the larger one does not.
V3.4.1 incidentally, works fine on both.

Small update – I’ve discovered that the 4.0.3 version works perfectly OK!

Still there is an error. I thought it was good and fixed but it wasnt, in my google webmaster still says “Missing Xml Tag” issue. How to solve it please help.
I’ve got the same problem, but on only one item (the latest) of sitemap. I don’t know hot to get 4.0.3 version. Any help?

Please check if the new 4.0.5 fixed the problem. I have made some changes regarding the timing of the sub-sitemaps which should fix these empty ones 🙂
