I’m having the same problem. Apparently the default PHP software that came with the system setup didn’t have zlib extension turned on.
From what I can tell at this blog post’s comment thread, the PHP5 software has to be reinstalled or re-built.
Abort class-pclzip.php : Missing zlib extensions
the same problem i through。how to do with it??
thanks。。。but i use the free host
Well, you really can’t do anything about it. Your server’s PHP configuration is missing the zlib extensions, which is typical of free hosting providers. You’ll have to install the theme manually:

well。i solve it like this.and just use ftp to upload my files

ok for those of you who are having trouble with the error:Abort class-pclzip.php : Missing zlib extensions and you are hosting the website yourself, i am running suse enterprise 10 and went into yast and searched for zlib and the result came up with zlib-php module, i installed that package, restarted apache and was able to successfully upload the file that i wanted i suggest you guys try the same and let me know if it works for you as well.
Cheers
