Hi there…

Using Simple Google Map in conjunction with the Story theme, I get the following error on the page:

Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.

In the js console, I see:

js?ver=31035b6…:32 Google Maps API error: MissingKeyMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#missing-key-map-error

I am using this combination successfully on other sites. Ideas?

Hi KJ,
It seems Google has changed the Maps API plan such that as of June 22, sites that were not already using Google Maps must have an API key. You can read all about it here: http://googlegeodevelopers.blogspot.com.au/2016/06/building-for-scale-updates-to-google.html.

Looks like we’ll have to add the ability to record an API key within the plugin settings. I’ll try to get that added in for you.

Check out the latest version. You can now add an api key via the Settings page.
