Would it be possible to use Mix-Blend-Mode in the CSS for this theme? It doesn’t appear to be working at the moment.

    Thanks

Specifically I would like to use Mix-Blend-Mode on the text for a blog

Hi there! Can you share a link to your site, plus specific details on what you are wanting to do with it and/or the code you’ve tried, please?

With a few more details, I can take a look! 🙂

Hi there! Thanks for your response! This is the site: https://disquietism.wordpress.com/ – I am hoping to implement ‘Mix-Blend-Mode: Difference’, to the body of the text. Basically so that the font can be the inverse color of the background image: ideally so that when text is above the blue background triangle it will be white, and when it is above the white background it will be blue. So, the color of the main body of text will change as you scroll over the background image in order that all of it always remains readable… I hope this makes sense!

I am an absolute beginner with CSS and HTML, but good at this kind of thing generally… I have tried to implement ‘Mix-Blend-Mode’ in plenty of different ways but Word Press does not seem to recognize it as a command and it always appears unrecognised! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as I really want to make this effect work on this page!!!!

    Thanks SO much in advance.

Thanks for the link to your site! WordPress.com limits which CSS can be used and doesn’t currently support the use of Mix-Blend-Mode. (Not all browsers support it yet, so it can be tricky to deal with if someone views your site from a browser that doesn’t allow it.)

If you have any more questions, the best spot to ask is over in the WordPress.com forums (since answers here may not apply to your site): https://en.forums.wordpress.com/.

    Happy blogging! 🙂
