Mixed content fixer database changes?

    Just wondering, does the mixed content fixer dynamically change URLs on the front end when a page loads, or does it actually alter the database permanently? Just trying to figure out the impact on site speed. Thanks

    Hi @phillip7,

    Indeed, the Mixed Content Fixer in the free plugin dynamically rewrites insecure http:// links to https:// in the page HTML, but it does not change anything in your database.

    In practice, the impact is minimal for most sites, comparable to other lightweight output tweaks. And if your site does not contain any Mixed Content at all, the fixer can also be disabled via the plugin’s settings (under Security -> Settings -> SSL).
